—This song* came to me from a dream about where I grew up in Avis, Pennsylvania. In the dream, Brian Wilson showed up my door, smoking a cigarette and driving a big car. He drove me and some kids to a Bible study at the CMA Church in Avis (now torn down). In the church sat Lewis Carroll, and near him was Elvis Presley, crying with his head in his arms (How I de-coded this dream is another story). This animated video was created by Japanese artist Miki Ito, and the track was mixed by Rusty Richards (Julie Miller, Brian Wilson).
The title is a cipher for a mysterious spiritual source of creativity and inspiration. In Old Testament Hebrew, one of the words for “angel” is “messenger”—as in a being with a specific assignment from God. The word “dumb” is applied to someone who is unable to speak and uses other means to communicate. Put the 2 words together and come to your own conclusion.
