In your mind, you’re looking down from the sky on this night driver, like a film camera zooming over. “Halfway to Dakote” is your film soundtrack.
On a cosmic jukebox this song would play next to Chris Isaak, Roy Orbison, and some tango singers. My friend and ace musician, Dan Rielly, called this recording “cinematic.”
