SATURDAY MUSIC VIDEO MATINEE: “Dancin’ in the Aisles”
–I composed this during a "rockabilly phase," paying tribute to Jerry Lee Lewis, Fats Domino, and Little Richard. A vocal version, with slap-back tape echo, exists somewhere. The lyrics imagine a 1950s rock'n'roll movie where an upstart Jeannie C. Riley-type of teacher gets a gig at a college and persuades this uptight professor to cut loose and go dancing.
