ALBUM OF THE WEEK: I LIKE THE STREET—A collection of “bicycle diaries” in song, culled from years of riding on the hard-boiled streets of San Francisco—filtered with film noir, “the dark sacred night,” and the inspirations of David Bowie, Roxy Music, Erik Satie, and Velvet Underground fashioned with flamenco, glam rock, power pop, and tango…featuring a “spy movie”/Yardbirds-influenced tribute to the great British actor Clive Owen, backed by members of The Badlees.
In making these recordings I was joined by the talents of Eric Biondo a.k.a. Beyondo, guitarist Tim Breon, pianist Mike Garson (David Bowie, Nine Inch Nails), and Felipe Torres (David Cassidy, The Monkees).
